Scuba2 Social Activities
SCUBA2 has a strong social side. Socializing at SCUBA2 has two parts, ‘après’ dive and non-dive related.
After dive events include:
• Brunch after the Sunday shore dives - a favourite haunt being Ruocco’s in South Fremantle, for pizza and a glass of house red to warm up
• A BBQ after a night dive (also to warm up)
• The annual breakfast following the Start-of-Season Dive which, this year, was a delicious Chicken-and-Champagne breakfast.
Social activities are planned in advance by the Committee and coordinated through a Social Coordinator, but we all chip in to help with events.
Some regular non-diving related events are:
• The Christmas Dinner at a nice restaurant
• The mid-winter Curry night at an Indian restaurant in South Perth
• The Pub meets at the Moon & Sixpence, in Murray Street, on the Friday following the club meeting (for those who work in the city) or, alternatively, on the following Friday night at the Greenwood Tavern.
There are coffee and biscuits during the interval at meetings with regular raffles and social chit-chat. One meeting is devoted to the annual Sausage Sizzle with cheese and wine. So we don't just dive!
CHRISTMAS PARTY '08
We have also layed on wine-tasting trips through the Swan Valley, sea kayaking at Penguin Island and a visit to Fremantle Prison amongst other things.
We have been known to plan trips to the Swan Valley Wineries, a Tunnel tour at Fremantle prison and evenings of Ten Pin Bowling.
So roll up, roll up, have fun with your fellow divers and get to know them better.
