Welcome to the Scuba 2 Website

What is Scuba 2?

An independent, non-profit dive club with about 100 members. We aim to:

  • promote safe diving at all times.
  • dive with like-minded buddies.
  • have fun.
  • support conservation of the marine environment.

We believe that divers need regular diving with other keen, safe divers, so that those newer to the sport can learn from those with greater experience.

What does Scuba 2 do?

We organize regular trips away with destinations ranging from overseas, through the further reaches of Western Australia, to a weekend in Dunsborough. We also dive regularly in the metro area, both day and night dives, shore dives and boat dives. The Club is always keen to dive new and unusual sites.

We arrange diver education courses, giving members the opportunity to extend their diving skills.

We participate in projects to support monitoring and conservation of the local marine environment.

We have an active social program and hold social events.

Some of us are actively interested in underwater photography.

Our acievements this past year are well worth examining in retrospect.

We have a history and traditions of which we are proud.

We have a modest line of good quality club merchandise - largely clothing - to promote the club.

Interested? To join, or just to find out more about Scuba 2, contact us or come along to a club meeting.

NEW STUFF (as at 27/02/10)

Saxon Ranger Dive 7/3/10

Four of us dived the Saxon Ranger on Sunday 7th March '10. This 38 m fishing trawler, built in 1960, was purposely sunk just south of Rockingham in 20 m of rather turbid water. Mick and Bruce spent time inside the wreck. Ian and Judi examined the profuse marine life on the outside, including Stripies and Leatherjackets. The diving conditions were calm and sunny.
